A family linked to the land of Langhe, united by its most precious fruit: the grape.
A story that began in the 30s, thanks to grandfather Enrico who grew and sold grapes. Years went by, and since 1950 the company has been making and selling wine. The winery gradually grew in the 60's and 70's thanks to his son Giovanni who started selling bottles in Piemonte and in the neighboring regions. The new generation is represented by brothers Enrico and Franco, who brought their knowledge of agronomy and enology to the winery, refining the processes. In the 1980's the winery introduced itself to the world in fairs and success followed quickly.
Between the '90s and 2000, new new plots of land are purchased in addition to the ones already owned in Castiglione Falletto and the market expanded to Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, United States, Japan. 2000s: Giovanni, Enrico and Franco continued the work and the experience of the former, merged with the vivacity of the latter, results in a combination that continues to maintain the values of tradition, the values of the family.

Vineyards in the heart of Barolo
Fifteen hectares (fifteen acres) located in the most favorable positions for the production of great wines in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte, La Morra. Castiglione Falletto, with its eight hectares, is the central pivot among the other villages. These are autochthonous vineyards, grown in the area, of which one Crü (sub-zone) called Villero is reserved for Barolo.
The fine wines of the Langhe
The essence of the family's work is expressed in the time spent in the vineyard growing the grapes, which arrive rich in quality for the harvest. "Bringing great grapes to the winery", has been handed down by grandfather Enrico. This is the secret that sets Pugnane Winery apart.

"Wine must taste like grapes".
A winery which embodies tradition and gives the right value to technology, where the real protagonist is the wine that originates in the vineyard and carries, in every phase of the production process, the precious taste which is the real essence of the producer's work.
The Crü of Azienda Pugnane. The grapes are selected from one of the most suitable areas of Castiglione Falletto giving a wine with a complex, persistent and important bouquet and taste. The tannins are well-balanced and the wine's great structure allows it to age for a long time. After the harvest it is left to mature exclusively in Slavonian oak barrels where it acquires its greatest characteristics. It accompanies complex main courses of red meat and game. Ideal also for mature and spicy cheeses.
